Fairgrounds Appreciation Month – Favorite Fairgrounds Memory

We are in the business of creating memories! Whether it’s at our annual Big Fresno Fair or an event at our Fairgrounds…that’s what we do! That is a big part of what drives us – and that is the same for fairs and festivals throughout the state, nation and world! So in honor of WFA’s Fairgrounds Appreciation Month – please share your favorite memory!

Fairgrounds Appreciation Month – Exhibit Local Success

Fairgrounds are meant to showcase the best of the best in a community, share its successes and be a source of community pride. At the Fresno Fairgrounds we consider this role a top honor. Whether we are showcasing community history in our Fresno County Historical Museum or honoring the #1 Ag-producing region in the world with our 32 ft. tall Tractor Tree that was featured in Ripley’s Believe It or Not!: Beyond the Bizarre Fall 2019 book to all the other ways we honor our incredible Fresno County community – it is something so important to us and an honor to continue to do.

We appreciate all those fairgrounds that continuously showcase and honor local successes in their community! Continue to lift one another up this Fairgrounds Appreciation Month!

Fairgrounds Appreciation Month – Community Celebration

Fairgrounds are where communities gather. Whether it is for an annual fair, a community event or a cultural celebration – Fairgrounds bring people together to connect and create memories.

At The Big Fresno Fair we are proud to host more than 250 events throughout the year, along with our annual Fair in October. The voices and laughter of our community on grounds fill our hearts and drives us to continue to work so hard.

We are grateful to be the place for community celebrations. Today and every day we celebrate our community and other fairgrounds throughout California and the nation that bring communities together!

Fairgrounds Appreciation Month – Foster Education

Fairgrounds throughout California and the US play a critical role in education. They serve as connection points between agriculture and our urban populations – telling the story of our food supply, providing education on the varieties of produce grown and harvested, the different livestock and characteristics, plus other traveling exhibits! Many kids will see their first cow or pig at their local fair. Or learn about all the varieties of grapes, apples and more!

At The Big Fresno Fair, we do this and more. We share the history of the Fair and Fresno County through our two Museums. We celebrate education and academic excellence through our 4.0 & Above Program, Big Band Review and Fair Education Program field trips!

For this and so much more…we are grateful for fairgrounds! We are screaming that from the rooftops during our Fairgrounds Appreciation Month.

Fairgrounds Appreciation Month – Community Outreach/Support

Fairs around the nation are always looking for new and creative ways to give back to their communities. The Big Fresno Fair does this in many ways, both during the annual Fair and throughout the year though food drives, scholastic achievement programs and more!

Our latest addition to our programs that give back was the “Fill the Need” Day, benefiting Valley Children’s Hospital added last year that raised  nearly $40,000 to help increase access to healthcare services for Valley kids!

Fairs and fairgrounds throughout California and the nation take pride in giving back to their communities. We know that it fulfills us greatly at The Big Fresno Fair to do so each year through our variety of programs.

We are grateful for you Fresno County! And we hope you are grateful for us too – especially during this Fairgrounds Appreciation Month!
