Fairgrounds are home to some of the largest annual celebrations in their communities. Fairgrounds are also home to people (and animals!) displaced during natural disasters like wildfires. We’ve said it before…fairgrounds throughout California and the nation are utilized as emergency response locations in times of crisis, be that warming or cooling centers, temporary fire command stations and more. In the time of the COVID-19 health crisis, many fairgrounds are playing a vital role serving as medical test sites and temporary medical facilities.

 

In times of uncertainty like now, one thing is certain – fairgrounds in communities around the nation stand ready to serve their communities. Let make sure they are around in years to come!

As we find ourselves navigating the new normal of COVID-19, our network of fairs are finding ways to continue to show up and be there for their communities! For The Big Fresno Fair that ranges from working with local faith-based organizations on food distributions to feed our community in need to holding our drive-thru “Fair Food Feature” events to provide a revenue stream for our local food vendors.  We are here for you Central Valley…we are here to help where we can!

As a reminder, the Youth Admission Policy requires all minors under the age of 18 to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (age 21+) in order to be admitted into the Fair after 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Under this policy, all guests on Fridays and Saturdays must wear a wristband … Continue reading “Reminder of the Youth Admission Policy”

As a reminder, the Youth Admission Policy requires all minors under the age of 18 to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (age 21+) in order to be admitted into the Fair after 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. Under this policy, all guests on Fridays and Saturdays must wear a wristband to prove point of entry at all times inside the Fair. There is no re-entry after 9 p.m. and none from the Kings Canyon gate any time.
