Encouraging and Rewarding Hard-Working Fresno County Students
All of those long hours spent hitting the books will pay off for Fresno County students at the 2019 Big Fresno Fair as part of the 4.0 & Above Program! The Big Fresno Fair’s 4.0 & Above Program invites all 8th – 12th grade students in Fresno County, whose cumulative GPA is 4.0 or above as of June 2019, to The Big Fresno Fair for FREE on Opening Day of the Fair – Wednesday, October 2, 2019. The 4.0 & Above Program includes a special presentation in the Brian I. Tatarian Grandstand, where prizes are drawn and awarded at 6:30 p.m.
All qualified students in attendance have the opportunity to win big scholarships and other assorted prizes for their remarkable academic excellence! Qualified 8th grade students are eligible to win:
- Visa Gift Cards
- And more!
In addition to the prizes above, 9th – 12th graders also have the opportunity to win a NEW 2020 Toyota Corolla!
Through a partnership between The Big Fresno Fair and the Office of the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools, along with valued sponsors Friends of the Big Fresno Fair, EECU, Toyota and iHeart Radio, the 4.0 & Above Program provides a fun, rally-like atmosphere to recognize and celebrate students for their hard work and scholastic achievements. The program delivers an opportunity for school leadership to incentivize and encourage students to work hard all year and keep up their grades, for a chance at winning any of the great prizes mentioned above!
In the past 9 years, Fresno County 8th-12th grade students have won:
- Over $380,000 in Scholarships
- 8 Toyota Corollas
- iPads, Laptops, VISA Gift Cards and more!
Of course, this amazing program would not be possible without the incredible generosity of our sponsors and donors. All prizes are donated by community-minded companies and individuals who believe in rewarding academic excellence.
