Q. Where is the Fantasy of Lights located?A. The Fair’s Holiday Fantasy of Lights takes place throughout the Fresno Fairgrounds. The entrance is on Kings Canyon Ave. Be on the lookout for signage to guide you to the entry!
Q. How long does it run?A. The Fair’s Holiday Fantasy of Lights opens December 3, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. and runs every day (with the exception of Christmas Day) until January 3, 2021 at 9:00 p.m.
Q. What time does it start?A. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. to allow cars to begin lining up. The drive-thru begins at 5:00 p.m. and gates will close at 9:00 p.m.
Q. How long is the drive-thru?A. The drive-thru portion of Holiday Fantasy of Lights will take up to 30 minutes complete. There is the option to get food prior to entering the Holiday Light Show.
Q. Is it family/kid friendly?A. Yes, absolutely! This is an all ages, family-friendly event! All people, young and young at heart, are welcome and encouraged to join.
Q. How many people are allowed in one vehicle?A. As many as are legally allowed in the vehicle with proper seatbelts as required by law.
Q. Is there a limit on the size of a vehicle that enters?A. No vehicles exceeding 20 ft. in length are allowed. This includes RV’s, commercial vehicles or buses/party buses. Holiday Fantasy of Lights will allow limousines, however! As a reminder, alcohol is not permitted while attending Holiday Fantasy of Lights.
Q. Is there a vehicle clearance?A. There is a 16 feet clearance.
Q. Do we have to stay in our cars?A. Yes. This is a drive-thru only event and you must remain in your car.
Q. What is the speed limit? A. The pace of the drive-thru will be SLOW. Drive safely!
Q. Can we attend on bicycle or walk-through?A. Sorry, no. Holiday Fantasy of Lights is a drive-thru event and can only be attended in a vehicle.
Q. I don’t drive! How can I attend? A. If you are unable to find a friend or family member to go with, we welcome metro mobility vehicles.
Q. What can we bring?A. Bring your friends and family, a camera and a smile! ☺
Q. What can’t we bring?A. The Big Fresno Fair does not permit the following on the premises: Illegal substances, alcohol, firearms, weapon of any sort, fireworks, drones, bikes/skateboards/skates. All other items may be refused at the discretion of the Fresno Police Department or event staff.
Q. Are pets allowed? A. Pets are discouraged from attending. Holiday Fantasy of Lights features flashes of lights that may bother them and there is not a designated pet relief area at Holiday Fantasy of Lights. Pets are not allowed outside your vehicle at Holiday Fantasy of Lights.
Q. What about service animals?A. Service animals are allowed. There is not a designated pet relief area at Holiday Fantasy of Lights. Pets are not allowed outside your vehicle at Holiday Fantasy of Lights.
Q. What about smoking?A. Smoking or vaping is not permitted at Holiday Fantasy of Lights.
Q. Are bathrooms available?A. Yes, restrooms are available at the entrance of Holiday Fantasy of Lights prior to entering the grounds for your drive. There will also be an All Genders restroom available on the northside of the Wells Fargo Ag Building.
Q. Are you serving food and drinks?A. Yes. There will be a variety of Fair food vendors on site for you purchase some snacks before you begin your drive-thru.
Q. Will there be alcohol? A. No alcohol will be sold at this event and it is not permitted at Holiday Fantasy of Lights.
Q. What kind of payment is accepted for food and drink items?A. Cashless payment is preferred, but cash will also be accepted.
Q. What time do food vendors close?A. Gates close at 9:00 p.m. daily and food vendors will close when the last car begins the drive.
Q. Do we have to stay in our car to eat?A. Yes. This is a drive-thru only event. You will purchase your food and drinks from your vehicle and must remain in your vehicle for the duration of your time at Holiday Fantasy of Lights.
Q. How much does it cost? A. Price is per vehicle; $20.00 on weeknights and $25.00 on weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun). Please note that there is an online ticketing fee. We encourage everyone to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets purchased at the Gate (cash only) are $5 more than the regular price.
Q. What types of payment are accepted?A. On-line tickets may be purchased at
www.FresnoFair.com/HolidayLights. Visa and Mastercard are accepted. Our Box Office will be open Monday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for cash and credit card sales. Cash only will be taken onsite at the entrance to the event.
Q. Is there a discount for Seniors or Children?A. The price for a ticket to Holiday Fantasy of Lights is by car, regardless of the occupants.
Q. Where do I get tickets?A. Tickets are sold in advance at
www.FresnoFair.com/HolidayLights. They are also available at our Box Office located at 1121 S. Chance Ave., Fresno, CA 93702. It will be open Monday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Tickets will be sold on site at the entrance to the event, as well. Ticket costs increase by $5 at the gate and are cash only. To help keep things flowing as smoothly as possible, we do encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance.
Q. Can I buy/gift tickets for someone else?A. Yes. All tickets are barcoded and scannable and are transferable. However, they are only able to be used once.
Q. What about bad weather?A. In the unlikely event that the show must be cancelled due to extreme circumstances, you will be able to use your ticket on a different date but it will have to be for whatever day you purchased it for – a weeknight or a weekend.
Q. What do I need to check-in?A. Your ticket or print-at-home ticket will be scanned when you pull in.
Q. Does each occupant need a ticket?A. No. Only one ticket is required per vehicle of attendees.
