Creek Fire Livestock Evacuations

Our hearts go out to our mountain communities that are experiencing such devastating loss. We are grateful for our brave men and women who are fighting to stop these fires.

Evacuations – Domestic Animals
The Fresno Fairgrounds is currently housing domestic animals from Fresno County communities during the Creek Fire Evacuations. The Small Animal Shelter is located in the Commerce Building.

Visitation hours for domestic animals: 10 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Evacuations - Livestock
The Fresno Fairgrounds has been activated by the Office of Emergency Services as an evacuation site for livestock from Fresno County communities. The Fairgrounds is working with the Fresno County Ag Commissioners Office who is overseeing the care of all animals evacuated to the Fairgrounds.

Prior to arriving, you must contact the Central CA Animal Disaster Team by text at (888) 402-2238. That way we are prepared to receive your animals upon your arrival. They can also help with evacuation assistance! Dependent upon the type of animals – they will direct you where to go at the Fairgrounds; either call or text that number.

Visitation hours for livestock animals: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Evacuations - RVs
The Fairgrounds is also able to accommodate RVs and we have full hook-ups if needed. To make arrangements for a space, please contact:
