Meet Diego Cano Garcia, a Reedley FFA student who is a Junior at Reedley High School.
“I became interested in FFA after my cousin shared her experience with the organization. She told me about the opportunities to work with animals and plants, which immediately caught my attention. Since I’ve always loved working with both, I knew right away that I wanted to join. I also recognized that being part of FFA would benefit me in the long run, especially as I pursue my goal of becoming a veterinarian.
This year, I am showing and selling a market pig at the fair. I’m showing a male Duroc named Cinnamon. He’s very friendly—he enjoys getting baths, being petted, and going on walks, especially in the mornings when he’s the most active. Cinnamon can be a little stubborn at times, but he absolutely loves eating marshmallows right out of your hand!”
