Meet Emily Nava, a Reedley FFA student who is a Senior at Reedley High School.
“Living on a ranch almost all of my life has definitely motivated me to join FFA. I love caring for animals and learning new things about agriculture so I knew FFA would be the best for me. It also helps towards my goal to become a livestock veterinarian. FFA is very important to me since I get to build knowledge and skills that will help me in the future. I get to have these amazing experiences, like raising livestock, that will ultimately set me up for success.
For this year's project, I am showing a market steer named Pelón. He is named after the Mexican candy and is a black angus. I really enjoy having him as my last project in high school and really look forward to the Fair this year.”
