Meet Kylie Lemm, a Kerman FFA student who is a Senior at Kerman High School:
"I am proud to be a senior at Kerman High School. Throughout my high school journey, I have been deeply involved in Kerman FFA, an organization that has helped shape my leadership skills and passion for agriculture. One of my greatest joys has been showing sheep, a hobby and commitment I've nurtured for the past four years. This year marks my fifth year in the program.
This year, I am excited to be showing my market lamb, Vlasic, as well as my breeding ewe, Ilya. Taking care of these animals is more than just a responsibility; it’s a labor of love. My favorite part of this experience is seeing the results of my hard work come to life at the Fresno Fair. Caring for Vlasic is a daily routine that I take very seriously. Every other day, I run him through our almond orchards to help build his muscle and stamina. On alternate days, I walk him backward on a treadmill to specifically strengthen his back legs, which is crucial for his posture and performance in the show ring. Feeding and watering him daily ensures he stays healthy and grows into a strong, robust lamb."
