Meet Lizette Espino, a Reedley Middle College High School FFA student who is a Senior at Reedley Middle College High School.
“I was first introduced into FFA in my biology class, where Mr. Castro made it his mission to get us all involved. Ever since then and after actually getting more into it throughout high school, it has opened my eyes to a whole new world. It is important to me as it has allowed me to learn some very valuable skills and things I never once knew. Not only is participating in FFA activities fun, but getting to show animals is even more fun!
This year I am showing my Berkshire pig, Jamón (ham in Spanish). She is very curious and has a love for fruit, especially watermelon. Everyone at first said she was very uncooperative, but as time went by we both grew together and I am glad to have her be my very last project. I am proud of how far we’ve come and can’t wait to present her at the fair!”
