Meet Neela Lopez, a Reedley FFA student who is a Sophomore at Reedley High School.
"I got involved in FFA by learning about it in Ag classes.
I didn’t have the courage to attend the meetings on my own so I brought friends
with me. Over time, I was able to overcome my fears and try new things. I
joined many teams like the Best Informed Greenhand. I got to experience State
Conference and I’m now my chapters Treasurer! FFA is important to me as I
wouldn’t be where I am if I hadn’t participated. I’ve met so many amazing
people and for that I’m super thankful for my chapter.
This year I am showing a Market Goat named Maisie. She is female Boer goat and is a great learner. She picked up our routine of walking and bracing daily quickly. She’s very curious but can get shy like her owner. We’re an unstoppable duo and I love her till the moon and back."
