Meet Sofia Guizar, a Tranquillity FFA student who is a Sophomore at Tranquillity High School.
“I got involved in FFA because I’ve always had a strong interest in agriculture and livestock, and I wanted to be part of a program that would give me hands-on experience. FFA has allowed me to grow as both a leader and an exhibitor by teaching me responsibility, time management, and the importance of caring for my animals. This program is important to me because it connects my passion for showing livestock with my future goals. I plan to pursue a degree in animal science, and FFA is helping me build the knowledge, skills, and real-world experiences that will prepare me for a career in the agricultural industry.
I am showing a pig named Timon and raising turkeys at my school farm, where I focus on proper care and management. These projects have helped me gain experience that supports my goal of studying animal science.”
