Meet Trinity West, a Blossom Trail 4-H student who is in the 12th grade at Sierra Charter:
"I first got started in 4-H when I was 9 years old. The older generation of my family was very involved in the livestock aspect of 4-H/FFA but stopped around when I was born. I was the first younger child in my family to show any interest in it. I have been in 4-H for 8 years now that I’m 17. I love 4-H and I don’t think I’d been the same person I am today without it. It has taught me so many life lessons that you can’t buy with money. I’ve learned responsibility, respect, public speaking, money management and much more. I will greatly miss it once I age out but I plan to continue on helping in my club and my community. I hope to continue in agriculture in someway.
This year I am taking a total of 25 animals to the 2023 Big Fresno Fair. I will be taking 13 rabbits of several breed Netherland Dwarf, Mini Rex, and Californian. I am taking 8 chickens of several breeds consisting of Wyandottes and Cochin Bantam . My cattle dog mix breed dog Quinn, Boer goat market weather, goat breed doe, and my market lamb."
