Carolee Boele Livestock Pavilion
Agriculture is the basis of why fairs were first developed. At The Big Fresno Fair, we pride ourselves on showcasing one of the best Livestock Pavilions in California’s fair circuit. Truly an exhibit for all ages, the Carolee Boele Livestock Pavilion features 11 days of livestock events showcasing beef, dairy, goats, sheep and swine – plus don’t forget about the rabbits, chickens, turkeys and much more!
The Livestock Pavilion is driven by the next generation of men and women in agriculture – the 4-H and FFA students. Through showing their animals at The Big Fresno Fair, these students not only have the opportunity to showcase and sell their animal projects, but also learn responsibility and gain agribusiness experience throughout the process.

What is 4-H and FFA?
4-H Clubs consist of youth, ages 9 through 19, who complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, citizenship and agriculture in a positive where they receive guidance from volunteer, adult mentors (as part of the Univision of California (Teaching) Service) and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. Future Farmers of America (FFA) is a national intracurricular organization of high school students interested in agriculture and leadership. Every high school that offers vocational agriculture classes has their own FFA chapter, which consists of students enrolled in these classes. Chapters are under the supervision of the agriculture teacher, who is always the local chapter advisor.
