This
Traditional Italian Family Recipes collection is the result of many hands and hearts working together. We are grateful to the students from California State University, Fresno, who dedicated their time, energy, and love for Italian culture to this project. As part of a paid internship offered in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025, these students, all minoring in Italian Studies, were selected for their dedication, creativity, and commitment to preserving and sharing cultural traditions. They played an essential role in gathering, transcribing, refining, and organizing the recipes, ensuring each one reflects both culinary accuracy and cultural authenticity.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the many community members who generously shared their recipes, stories, and culinary knowledge. Their contributions brought richness, authenticity, and a deeply personal dimension to this collection.

We also warmly thank Dr. Honora Chapman, Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities, whose unwavering support and leadership were instrumental in securing the Mellon Foundation grant that made this paid internship opportunity possible for our students.
