Meet Anahi Garcia, a Tranquility FFA exhibitor!
"The reason as to why I decided to get involved in FFA was because of all of the Ag classes I had in my schedule my freshman year. Because of this, my Ag teachers motivated me since the beginning of the school year to get involved, which led me to where I am today. Without FFA, I wouldn't have such strong leadership qualities or half of all the great opportunities that have crossed my path in other areas besides this great organization. FFA has continued to build my character in various areas, and it will always be something I cherish and remember.
This year, I am showing a Duroc market hog named Chancho. I do various activities throughout the morning and afternoon to ensure that he exhibits his potential in the best performance at fair. I do things such as feed him, bathe him/brush him, and walk him every day. Chancho has been a great pig with a wonderful personality. Although he has a wonderful personality he can be a very stubborn pig. He has shown me very important skills like time-management, caretaking, and animal bonding. My time with him keeps getting shorter, but I will make sure to cherish every moment."
