Meet Arista Lopez, a hardworking exhibitor from Fowler FFA!
"Hi my name is Arista Lopez. This is my third year in FFA and my fist time showing. Being in FFA has taught me a lot. Growing up with my family being in the engineering industry and being able to weld. It made me interested in being in FFA. Being in welding class has also taught me to be safe in shops and well obviously welding. Being in this class I gained a good relationship with my advisor Mr. Evans. He convinced me to show a market pig with him and I am grateful he told me to do it. Being in FFA has taught me to be more social, being able to manage time, and leadership skills. I am glad this program has given me and others many opportunities. I wouldn't see myself out of FFA at all. FFA has truly changed my life.
This is year I will be showing a market Hampshire pig named Sleepy. This is my first time ever showing any animal. I am very excited for showing at The Big Fresno Fair. Sleepy is a very friendly pig who loves sleeping, water and is curious about anything that comes his way. Every day I make sure to walk, feed, clean, and spending time with him so he would be comfortable being handled. Taking care of Sleepy has taught me responsibility, dedication, and patience. I am excited to continue working with him and everyone being able to see him soon."
