Meet Ashley Esteban, a Reedley Middle College FFA exhibitor!
"The reason why I decided to join FFA was because of my sister. My sister has been a part of FFA since her sophomore year. She had so many great experiences and learnt so much and wanted to share it with me. Who told me about this great program my freshman year. She thought it would be a great way for me to make connections and learn more about what I want to become. I have always listened to her and so I decided to show a lamb freshman year and to this day, I am still showing a lamb. I want it as my future career; I want to be in the agricultural industry. FFA is important to me because it helps every day to learn more about leadership, agriculture, and responsibility. It builds more skills that construct our future over time. FFA is a great opportunity to grow important life skills.
I showed a lot of animals throughout my school year, but for my year, I am showing a speckled lamb. Her name is Blanca Nieves, which translates to Snow White. I named her Snow White because I remember being told by my sister my Freshman year, to name any white lamb Snow White. She is a very energetic and curious lamb from all the ones I have had previously. I have been working very hard with her, and she keeps learning every day."
