Meet Jacob Alvarez, a Fresno-Central FFA exhibitor who is a student at Central High School!
"I got involved after one of my friends said ‘Hey let’s do this.’ This has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. This program is important to me because it not only teaches me more about these animals that get shown but also the process of everything. It teaches me about things I wouldn’t have known without joining.
My goat project has been an adventure. From the first day I got my goat, he was always very shy. But as he’s gotten to know me and me to know him, we’ve grown closer than I expected. This didn’t happen overnight, I’ve spent multiple hours after school and during summer to earn his trust and since then he’s been one heck of a project. The one thing he’s taught me is, patience is key."
