Meet Jenevie Garcia, a hardworking senior and livestock exhibitor from Sanger FFA!
"Hi, my name is Jenevie Garcia, I am 17 years old and a senior at Sanger High School. This is my third year participating in FFA and my third year showing a lamb at the Big Fresno Fair. Along with FFA, I am an active member of the Sanger High Marching Band. While being involved with these extracurriculars, I continue to maintain a 4.0 GPA. Through these activities, I have developed and strengthened my critical thinking skills and discipline, which I feel is an invaluable experience that I will carry with me into all my future aspirations.
This year 1 am showing a market lamb at the Big Fresno Fair. My lamb is a wether named Apollo. His current weight is 95 Ibs, gaining 3-4 pounds a week he is expected to weigh 110 lbs by auction. Apollo will be shown in the showmanship and market classes. I work with him 3-4 times a week and wash him 1-2 times weekly. I continue to work with my advisor to make sure that he is getting the proper nutrition and making proper feed changes so he can continue to gain weight and muscle."
