Meet Kaydence Goncalves, a hardworking exhibitor from Clovis FFA!
"I got involved to try something new that was out of my comfort zone. This program is important to me because it has grown me as a person and opened doors for me that I never thought were possible. I owe it all to Clovis FFA and my advisors Tell us about the Exhibitor’s animal project(s) this year. Hi, my name is Kaydence Goncalves I am a sophomore at Clovis High School and this is my second year being involved at Clovis FFA. Over the last year I’ve had the opportunity to be a Greenhand officer, participate in speaking competitions, and show market hogs at the fair and jackpot shows.
This year I decided to challenge myself by raising and showing three hogs Douglas, my Yorkshire; Mauney, my Berkshire; and Cheyanne, my dark cross breeding gilt. Taking care of more than one animal has definitely been a lot more work and responsibility, but it has kept me focused. I’ve spent many hours feeding, working, and preparing my animals for the show ring. I’m hoping all of my hard work shows when I step into the ring at The Big Fresno Fair. But even if I come home empty-handed, I’m proud of how far I’ve come and grateful to be part of such an amazing chapter. I’m excited to have another year of experience, make more memories, and compete alongside some really great showmen."
