Don’t miss the opportunity to participate in these fun special events held during the 2022 Big Fresno Fair live horse racing meet. The races are the place to be in Fresno in October!
Beer & Wine Fest – Sat, October 8
The Big Fresno Fair 3rd Annual Beer & Wine Fest will be held in the middle of the race track on Saturday, October 7 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. There will be 20+ craft breweries and wineries, a DJ, food trucks and lawn games like corn hole! Tickets cost $25 (event only) and $5 for Designated Drivers. A limited number of tickets will be sold so people are encouraged to purchase early either online or at the Fair Box Office. If it does not sell out, tickets will be sold at the gate. Attendees must be 21 or older. All proceeds go to support the Fresno County Historical Museum.
Caporales de Fresno – Sundays
Los Caporales de Fresno showcases the incredible talent of these dancing horses, as well as the individuals that are riding them who also sing!
Derby Dog Dash – Sat, October 14
Have a small dog that you think is fast? Then enter them into the Annual Derby Dog Dash on Saturday, October 14 for the chance to win cash prizes and, of course, bragging rights. The public is also encouraged to come out and cheer on their favorite dog to the finish line!

Bulldog Stakes (Handicap) Race – Sun, October 15
Join the tradition by wearing red to the races on October 15 to celebrate our very own Fresno State Bulldogs. If you wear red, you will be entered to win cash prizes during the Bulldog Handicap Race! Just look for the entry booth on your way into the Grandstands.
Losers Can Win Promotion
Turn any losing 2023 Big Fresno Fair horse racing wager ticket into a winner! How? Wagerers just need to drop their losing race wager ticket with their name and cell phone number into the box with the number race they wagered and lost on. The boxes will be on display on the ground floor of the race track and the 2
nd floor. Then after Race 4 each day, a winner will be selected from each race to get a $10 voucher to place on another bet. Subsequently, the same thing will be done after Race 8 and then the last race of the day if it is not Race 8. Then at the end of the race day, an overall winner will be selected from all the races that will receive a box of four to come back on a day of their choice to wager. They will also get a $50 voucher to use on future bets.
